Laundromats ARE “scary as fuck”!! I dread the few times a year I have to make the laundromat run to wash a few comforters. In the past, when ALL my laundry was done at the laundromat, I would wear headphones so no one would talk to me!! What I don’t understand, is why do some men think it is appropriate to try and pick up a chick at the laundromat? Unless it has a bar with a large assortment of stiff drinks, there is no way I would consider going out on a date with a man I had just met at a laundromat, given (especially!) the creepy caliber of the past optimistic inquirers. It is not a social occasion to go out and do your laundry. Usually, one wants to get the chore done…. and now, so they can get home in time to watch the football game. Nothing is worse than being at a laundromat, wearing flip-flops and no make-up, and having to politely turn down a creep when, on Friday night, I dressed up, went out, and got NO propositions! Go figure. Poetic irony!
